RE Valentine’s Present : Have been doing pretty well up until today , where I spent the last half an hour groping and worrying at it trying to get an idea of what was inside. New rule - it doesn’t leave the wardrobe until I’m allowed to open it. First World Problem approaching , but I always build things up in my mind and end up disappointing myself in the process. I feel selfish for not taking joy in the simple fact I have someone who I love very much. I just hope this bad habit will not spoil the sentiment behind whatever is hiding in my wardrobe. I hate it when I can’t blame my character faults on Catholic Guilt! It’s the theological Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free Card!
However , I DO NOT feel bad about all those single people that say ‘I hate Valentine’s Day, it just reminds me how lonely I am”. I always love it regardless, it is a day that celebrates love. Love is an incredibly complex emotion that science struggles to explain, we are extremely lucky to have it in our world.
